Peter was one of the five founder Directors of firstdirect, working in the capacity of Personnel & Training Director, and subsequently the Customer Service Director. In these roles he was the designer, developer and implementer of the firstdirect culture and philosophy (the core differentiator of the business to this very day) before moving on to creating and implementing the customer service strategy, through management of the contact centre. Following on from firstdirect, Peter acted as Consultant for a number of high profile organisations including the then start-up business of Energis and a transformation of Cellnet (now 02) into a service provider model. As well as holding the role of Vice President of Customer Service and Systems for Telewest Communications, Peter has been associated with many high profile blue chip start ups such as ITV Digital and GO FlyAirlines (now easyJet) and other businesses moving towards major customer-centric change management programmes. In many of these projects he has been a key part of their people and customer strategies as well as operational implementation.
